Visitors from partner organizations

If you belong to an organization with a visitor agreement with SM Bergen, you may attend events that are not reserved for SMB's own members. This page explains the registration and verification requirements.

Who can attend?

If you belong to an organization with a visitor agreement with SM Bergen, you may attend events that are not reserved for SMB's own members. You must register in advance and be able to document your membership.

We also hold public meetups and some events where members may bring guests. The description of each event states when this applies. If you visit Bergen often, applying for ordinary SMB membership may be more practical.

Before you register

We send our event schedule to our partner organizations and publish it in the SM Bergen group on FetLife. The address and other internal information are available on the members' pages.

If you cannot access the members' pages, email arrangement@smbergen.org. State which organization you belong to and include your nickname or membership number.

Registration and verification

Register no later than 48 hours before the event. We may contact your organization to confirm your membership. You must also be able to show a valid membership card or other proof of membership when you arrive.

Visiting members may not bring a guest. Everyone attending must be registered and meet the event's requirements themselves.

When you arrive

If this is your first party at SM Bergen, arrive 30 minutes early for a short introduction. Mention this when registering, especially if you have not attended an introductory course in your own organization.

Visiting members pay the visitor price. The event information states the price. Arrive before the doors close. For reasons of discretion, we normally do not admit participants after that time.

At the event

You must follow SM Bergen's event rules and any rules specific to the event.

The dress code is included in the event information. Party dress is usually fetish wear or dark clothing. Trainers and sweatpants are not normally considered party dress.

We have a self-service kiosk with snacks, coffee, and soft drinks. Alcohol rules depend on the event and venue. We expect moderation, and other drugs are not allowed.

For reasons of discretion, phones and cameras must be put away. Photography, video, and audio recording are normally not allowed.

The event lead and event monitors can answer questions and help if something happens. Feel free to tell them that you are visiting. Clear up after yourself and, if you can, help with the shared cleanup.
