What is the workshop about?

This workshop covers what happens before something goes wrong: prevention, understanding risk, and practical skills that contribute to safer play.

Topics

We will cover topics including:

• planning, including plans B and C
• risk assessment
• vetting
• securing equipment
• recognizing warning signs from the body
• first aid adapted to kink
• what to do when something goes wrong

We will also look at responsibility, trust, boundaries, and aftercare, including the practical, relational, and emotional aspects of play.

No prior knowledge is required. The workshop is for anyone who wants to take safety seriously and learn more about preventing and handling unwanted incidents.
