Without consent, it isn't BDSM

Studvest visited our venue in January 2026 and spoke with two members about Bergen's BDSM community.

Consent

The members explain why consent is a requirement for BDSM. Play is agreed beforehand and can be stopped at any time. We use “yellow” for pause and “red” for stop.

A social organization

The article also describes the social side of SMB. We are not a sex club. Members meet to talk, get to know one another, and attend events.

Why we took part

There are still many misconceptions about BDSM. By answering journalists' questions, we can explain what we do and why consent, respect, and discretion matter to us.
